It’s in You

it’s in you Find it. Be it.
FEW YEARS BACK, a friend asked me a question that was completely irrelevant to the conversation going on that moment. I thought for a while about the motive behind the question, but at the same time, I answered almost immediately. Usually,  I followed the biblical principle of being quick to hearing and slow to responding.
The question was simply “What is the worst fear in life”  My quick response was “not fulfilling destiny”.  It won’t be a good sight getting to heaven after all and God tells me,  boy,  you didn’t do what I asked you to do. But God I didn’t have what it will take me to do it.
Oh really! What about this and that?
One of the major reasons why most of us fail is that we give too much excuses.
It’s always about what we don’t have. Who says you didn’t have it?
What about the ones you have, what have you done with them?

Fulfilling destinies and dreams isn’t all about financial empowerment, but most times about harnessing intellectual capacity, and capabilities that are in – built.
You got good eyes, you can be an observer, an investigator, or a spectator. You have a good mouth, you can be a pastor, an OAP,  a commentator, singer,  actor, or even a noise maker (Fela Durotoye was branded a noise marker throughout his school days, but now, he speaks and inspires the nation). You have a good body, you can be a model or a bouncer, e.t.c.  A good ear, and you can be an adviser, a counselor, or even an eavesdropper.
Manute Bol, a Sudanese born American basketball player and political activist. Born on 16th October 1962,and died on the 19th of June 2010. Listed at 7 ft 7 in (2.31 m) tall, one of the two tallest players in the history of National Basketball Association (NBA). He was officially measured and listed at 7 feet 6 3/4 inches (2.305 m)  tall in the Guinness book of world records.  He lived is life and became successful utilizing his super unusual height to his own advantage. He couldn’t even speak good English but he mingled and excelled.
Remember the story of the talents in the Bible
(Matthew 25: 14-30), God gives everyone of us talents commensurate with our abilities. David was a keeper of sheep and even defended the with his life. His natural ability was to lead and protect.
We all have what it takes to rule in whatever we do. All we have to do just look within and be observant.
In the movie. “August Rush”, one of the lead actors said “music is all around us, all we have to do is listen”. So I say “our destinies lies with us, all we have to do is look within and discover”. It may be a hidden talent, passion, dream or character. That may be all God had planted in you to be. My earnest prayer is that God will help bring out the best in us.
