Yobe Police Re-echoes Prohibition Of Fireworks


policeThe Yobe State Police Command on Wednesday re-echoed the prohibition of sales and usage of fireworks across the state.
The re-echoing of the prohibition is contained in a statement issued by the command’s spokesman, ASP Toyin Gbadegesin.
According to the statement, “the prohibition of the sale and use of fireworks is still in force and the public is hereby reminded that any use of fireworks before, during and after the Yuletide season is prohibited”.
It also warned that “any violation of this order shall be viewed as security saboteurs and shall be arrested and prosecuted”.
The re-echoing of the prohibition is in view of the approaching Yuletide period which may trigger the use of fireworks and other explosives in celebration, thereby constituting security threat to security operatives and residents alike.
