Former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki
Operatives of the Department of State Services are still laying siege to the residence of the immediate past National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki(retd.).
The DSS operatives have allegedly taken away all the vehicles in the former NSA’s residence in Asokoro, Abuja.
It was gathered that the operatives were still conducting searches inside the residence of the former NSA as of the time of filing this report on Friday.
Dasuki was not able to attend the Eid Fitr prayers on Friday as a result of the operation in his house.

Our correspondent observed two operational vans of the DSS inside Dasuki’s residence and a few armed operatives.
The operatives have also taken over all strategic positions within and outside the house.
An operative, who spoke to our correspondent at the gate of the residence, said visitors to the house should come back later.
The soft-spoken detective, who manned the gate post, politely said the house was under security.
He said, “No. You cannot go in. I know you are journalists. You can come back maybe later but not now please. The house is under security for now.”
It was however not clear whether the service would arrest Dasuki and take him away to their headquarters or they would put him under restriction in his residence.
It is yet unclear what the security outfit intends to do while the DSS has yet to make a public statement on the development.

Operatives of the Department of State Services on Thursday invaded the Asokoro, Abuja residence of the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
It was learnt that the operation which was said to have been authorized by the top hierarchy of the DSS, was in connection with the secret probe into how billions of naira allocated for the war against terrorism was allegedly looted.
The personnel were said to have searched the house and left after some time.
Our correspondent could not immediately ascertain whether Dasuki was arrested or detained overnight by his unexpected gun-wielding visitors, but security sources said it is highly likely that the ex-NSA may be whisked away or invited subsequently for interrogation on how he administered the billions that was released for prosecution of the terrorism war in the North-East.
Sources described the onslaught against Dasuki as the “fore-taste of what would likely happen to senior officials in the past administration who were suspected to have embezzled or mismanaged public funds.”
The former NSA coordinated the war against terrorism and his office received billions naira to prosecute the counter-insurgency operations against the violent Boko Haram sect.
Dasuki who was appointed as NSA by former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2012, was relieved of his appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari a few days ago.
It was gathered that the operation against was Dasuki was two-pronged as a team of DSS operatives was also deployed to his family house in Sokoto.
The source said, “The invasion of Dasuki’s residence is not unconnected with the determination of the current administration to recover all looted funds by senior officials of the past government, so no one should read any political motives to it.”
The DSS spokesperson, Marilyn Ogar could not be reached for comment as she did not respond to calls to her phone. A text message sent to her failed to deliver.
