One person was confirmed dead due to suffocation while another was
injured following an outbreak of fire at the Kurmi Market in Kano. The fire which started yesterday night to
the early hours of today was brought under control by men of the state
fire service
Officials of the NEMA NW led by the Zonal Coordinator, Alhaji Musa Ilallah and a team of
Emergency responders in the state conducted an assessment to ascertain
losses caused by the inferno.
The
cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be known however the joint
assessment teams are still on top of the matter gathering reliable
information from strong sources for its report.
