Those screened yesterday are Pastor Usani Usani Nguru, Barigadier General Mansur Mohammed Dan’ali, Zainab Ahmed, Geofrey Onyema and Abubakar Bawa Bwari and Professor Adewole Folorunsho.
MOre so it a dramatic twist this morning as the three Senators threw their weight behind the ministerial nominee from Sokoto State, Aisha Abubakar, saying they have withdrawn the petition against her.
In a letter read by Senate President Bukola Saraki, the three Senators from Sokoto State said the withdrawal became imperative following wide consultations from their constituencies and with their constituents.
The Senators are Ibrahim Gobir, APC, Sokoto East; Aliyu Wammako, Sokoto North and Ibrahim Abdullahi, Sokoto South.
It would be recalled that Aisha had last week faced the senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions following a petition written against her by sokoto women.
Meanwhile, the Senate has begun the screening exercise starting with Okechukwu Eyinna Enelamah from Abia state, just as he commended the three senators from his state.
Others listed in the Order Paper to be screened today are Anwuka Anthony Gozie; Mohammed Musa Bello; Adamu Adamu and Aisha Abubakar
