Mali's army kills Five rebel fighters along Burkina Faso Border


,MALI - Army has killed five rebel fighters believed to have been behind a series of attacks along the border with Burkina Faso.
Army Spokesperson, Colonel Souleymane Maiga who said the army suffered no casualties in this attack.

They also revealed that a number of Islamist militants were also wounded.

The army clamped down on the islamist fighters in the Tiebanda Forest, in central Mali's Mopti region following tip off from villagers.

The West African nation is still struggling with the fallout from a 2012 Islamist occupation of its desert north.
