Samsung has announced a new phone, and
its arguably the most beautiful phone from the tech giants. Here are a
few facts about the Samsung Galaxy A8:
Not only is the A8 a very beautiful phone, it Samsung’s thinnest till date:
The 5.7-inch device has a metal,
0.23-inch-thick body. The front is almost all screen with extremely thin
side bezels, and it’s also quite light at 0.3 pounds. If this is the
design direction for Samsung’s future smartphones, then we can only but
look forward to the Galaxy Note 5.
Its not as awesome as the flagship S6:
The Galaxy A8’s specifications are
considerably weaker than the company’s most powerful device, the Galaxy
S6: It sports an 8-core, Snapdragon 615 chip, 2GB of RAM, a 1080p
display and a 16-megapixel rear camera (coupled with a 5-megapixel
selfie cam). However, the fingerprint sensor and a 3,050mAh battery
bring it close to flagship territory.
Its quite pricy:
When Engadget did a little digging, they revealed that the phone would go for about $516, that’s slightly over N100,000.
The bad news is:
Its going to be launched in China and will not be available anywhere else, for now at least.
